Clyde Hamstreet has been a prominent figure in the national turnaround industry for more than 30 years, with extensive experience in developing and leading complex engagements. He is well known in the industry for building consensus among diverse interest groups and creating innovative solutions to seemingly intractable problems. The recipient of several national and regional awards, Clyde is committed to finding win-win solutions, frequently bringing employees, management, creditors and shareholders together to achieve successful turnarounds.

With an expertise in corporate finance, management, and governance, Clyde has served as Chief Restructuring Officer, Chief Executive Officer, President, Chief Financial Officer, and Director in various corporations. He has successfully restructured large and mid-size companies and has led many initiatives to restore underperforming corporations to profitability, both in and out of Chapter 11. His experience includes the strategic repositioning of core operations, complex refinancing and investment arrangements, aggressive cost reductions, intensive management of working capital, and sales and divestitures. Clyde also has significant experience as a Receiver and as Trustee in situations requiring third-party oversight and preservation of assets.

Clyde is an Oregon native with a long-standing interest in contributing to the state’s livability and environmental stewardship, while offering sustainable economic opportunities and fiscal responsibility to its citizens. He has served on the Oregon Economic Development Commission, the Oregon Land Use and Development Commission, as well as economic and planning commissions for Yaquina Bay and Lincoln County. He is a founding Director of the Oregon Coast Aquarium. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Oregon State University.

Clyde has served in leadership positions of the Northwest and National Turnaround Management Associations and the Association of Turnaround Professionals. He has been nominated for turnaround practitioner of the year four times, winning the award in 1994, 2005, and 2011. In 2009, the Northwest Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association honored Clyde for his dedication and outstanding professional achievements.
