Martha Cohn embarked on her professional career at Hamstreet & Associates in 2019 after completing her undergraduate degree in Comparative Literature at Reed College. At Hamstreet, Martha continues to expand her range of knowledge and experience, providing project support to senior associates, including accounting, communications, and data analysis. Her accomplishments as a thinker and writer enable her to synthesize complex situations coherently and concisely.  

Martha’s background in language theory and translation is finding new applications in her current role, where she moves fluently among the realms of private business, receiverships, and the rules of accounting. Recent projects include a successful campaign to strengthen the quality of a client’s asset portfolio by improving collections from non-performing real estate contracts, managing the daily accounting on a receivership engagement, and spearheading the data analysis for a complex claims process. Martha also serves as a board member and treasurer of the Turnaround Management Association’s Northwest Chapter.

In prior work experience, Martha spent several years in the service industry and held college jobs related to language-learning and academic support.

Having grown up in Oregon, British Columbia, and southern Germany, Martha loves to be outdoors and can often be found hiking up a nearby mountain on the weekend. When not at the office or on Mt. Hood, she is throwing pots at a local ceramics studio or experimenting in the kitchen.
